Municipal Campground in Notre-Dame-de-Monts<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Nestled in the heart of the Pays de Monts national forest, 400 meters from the beach<\/strong> and 500 meters from local shops<\/strong>, the L\u2019Orgatte municipal campground welcomes you to a preserved natural setting<\/strong> that is both wild and authentic. Here, there are no rental units\u2014only sites for tents, trailers, and RVs, spread across more than 5 hectares<\/strong> of wooded land, with a total of 299 sites<\/strong>. This is a deliberate choice by the municipality to preserve the natural environment and offer everyone a rare quality of life. The campground\u2019s very name speaks volumes: \u201cOrgatte, \u201d<\/em> in the Mara\u00eechin dialect, refers to land cultivated by humans within a forested area. Since 1968<\/strong>, this campground in the Vend\u00e9e has embodied that same spirit: natural, friendly, and authentic<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At this family-campsite in the Vend\u00e9e<\/a>, vacations are all about simplicity and good cheer. As soon as you arrive, the reception staff will give you a warm welcome and help you get settled for your stay. Free Wi-Fi<\/strong> is available throughout the campsite in Notre-Dame-de-Monts, and there\u2019s a laundry facility<\/strong> on-site for your convenience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the summer, children ages 5 to 13<\/strong> gather at \u201cL\u2019Abri C\u00f4tier<\/strong>, \u201d<\/strong> the campground\u2019s kids\u2019 club, open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Arts and crafts, sports, cooking, environmental activities, and group games\u2026 a packed program that\u2019s completely free!Sports enthusiasts aren\u2019t left out either: a multipurpose sports field<\/strong>, ping-pong tables<\/strong>, and a playground<\/strong> for the little ones (slide, climbing structures, playhouse, spring-loaded toys) keep the days lively. And to top it all off, the p\u00e9tanque tournament<\/strong> is a friendly event enjoyed by everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for food, the independent snack bar<\/strong> at the campground entrance offers burgers, paninis, fries, and other snacks, which you can enjoy on the terrace or take out. Fresh bread and pastries are also available in the morning, if booked by 2 p.m. the day before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the major highlights of camping in Notre-Dame-de-Monts? La Braie Beach<\/strong>, just a 400-meter walk<\/a> away through the forest<\/strong>. A shaded stroll under the pine trees, and there you are with your feet in the sand or on the pebbles, depending on the season and the tides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July and August, the access path is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Swimming is open to the public and free of charge. There are no lifeguards on duty at this beach, but the nearest lifeguard station is a 15-minute walk away, at the central beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a 10-minute walk away<\/strong>, the water sports center at R\u00e9gates Beach<\/strong> offers a wide range of activities: stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, and sailing\u2026<\/strong>For night owls, don\u2019t miss the sunsets over the Atlantic: a spectacular sight not to be missed from the beach.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
