At the campground in Notre-Dame-de-Monts, a warm welcome and everyone’s comfort are our top priorities every season. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, by bike, or in a camper van, the family-friendly L’Orgatte campground has designed its services to ensure your stay is completely stress-free in a preserved natural setting, beneath the pine trees of the Pays de Monts national forest.
Welcome to the front desk
As soon as you arrive, the staff at this family-friendly campground in the Vendée will welcome you at the front desk to give you a map of the campground, assign you your site, and answer any questions you may have. Tourist brochures are available to help you plan your outings and excursions in the surrounding area.
Hours of operation vary by season:
- April 1–15: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., daily
- April 16 – June 30: Mon.–Sat.: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. / Sun.: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- July–August: Daily : 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2 p.m.–7 p.m.
- September 1–15: Mon.–Sat.: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. / Sun.: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- September 16–30: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., daily
In July and August, a campground attendant is on duty from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, and security guards ensure safety from midnight to 8:00 a.m. The campground is open from April 1 to September 30.

The family-campsite L’Orgatte in Notre-Dame-de-Monts offers several services to make your stay more convenient:
• Only electric grills are allowed on the campsites (gas and charcoal grills are prohibited)
Pets (excluding Category 1 and 2 animals) are welcome, with a limit of 2 pets per site, and must be kept on a leash. An up-to-date vaccination record will be required upon arrival.

“Accueil Vélo” Campground in Vendée:
just a stone’s throw from the Vélodyssée
L’Orgatte Campground is proud to hold the Accueil Vélo certification. And for good reason: the Vélodyssée, one of Europe’s most beautiful cycling routes, runs right past the campground’s entrance. Cycling tourists have access todedicated sites designed to comfortably accommodate travelers on two wheels.
External service providers can deliver and pick up the bikes right on site. This makes it easy to explore the Vendée coastline and the Pays de Monts forest without any logistical hassles. An ideal stop on your itinerary!
Our snack bar

Located at the entrance to the campground, the snack bar (independently operated) is the perfect place to enjoy a tasty break without leaving the grounds. On the menu: burgers, fries, and other fast-food classics, which you can enjoy on the patio or take out.
Be sure to order your fresh bread and pastries by 2 p.m. the day before: they’ll be available right at the snack bar to help you start your day off right. We accept payment by credit card and cash.
L’Abri Côtier:
our kids’ club for children ages 5 and up
This summer, your children have their own space: “L’Abri côtier, ” the campground’s kids’ club, open in July and August, Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Supervised by certified counselors, children ages 5 to 13 can enjoy a

- Cooking Workshops
- Exploring the Environment
- Large-scale games, treasure hunts, and scavenger hunts
The club is completely free, and registration takes place the day before each activity. It’s a great way for kids to make friends… under their parents’ watchful eye!
Family Activities and Sports Facilities
The family-campsite in Notre-Dame-de-Monts also offers plenty of ways to have fun and get active outside of the kids’ club.The playground will delight the little ones with its slide, climbing structures, playhouse for 2- to 3-year-olds, boat, and spring-loaded toys.
Sports fans, meanwhile, will find:
- A multi-sport field
- Ping-pong tables (rackets and balls provided)
And for a friendly, festive atmosphere, the pétanque tournament is a must-attend event of the season. All activities are free, but registration is required.
Shops just a few steps away
You don’t need a car to run your errands! The town center of Notre-Dame-de-Monts is just 1 km from the campground and can be reached on foot or by bike via the bike paths.
Throughout the season, enjoy the local markets:
- Sunday Morning Market: All Year Round
- Farmers’ Market: Tuesday mornings in July and August
- Nighttime artisan market: Tuesday evenings in July and August
- Food Market: Thursday mornings in July and August
